Praise God! Am back healthy and strong The devil always fails
When you fail to prepare you indefinitely is preparing to fail. I strongly believe that if 70% of the Christian families we have in this nation are morally upright, parents training their kids in a godly way, Nigeria will be a better place. This informed my desire to attend as much relationship and marriage seminars as possible, read books and online articles on them and also listen to sermons on the same issue. But, then I recall with nostalgia that 90% of them seems to unanimously agree on the fallacy that the responsibility of making a good home lies more on the female folk. A lie which is gradually bought as the truth due to the consistency in which we are bombarded by it. Let it be known that I am no feminist who preaches equal right in marriage, that can never be true, women are help meet whose ordained duty is joyfully support her husband in the direction he is going. Yet, I know that ladies are exceptional folks with great intelligence and gift to make exploits and that is why I am compelled to speak to the marriage counselors, Pastors, authors, bloggers and our parents to know that Biblically the responsibility is more on the man as shown in Genesis18:19, 1Timothy3:4-5;12-13, Ephesians 5:23, e.t.c. Therefore, we should be fed with the right and balanced Biblical analysis and truth. The following should be stopped: 1. Blaming the wife alone as being responsible for her husband's infedility. Where is the gift of self control? 2) The wife alone should be blamed if calamity befalls the family because she is carnal and doesn't pray. Come on! Isaac prayed for his wife Rebecca and she conceived. The men should get on their knees and do same. 3. The woman should be blamed if there is rancour in the family. She probably doesn't know how to shower love on her husband. Mothers should teach their daughters how to love and respect their husbands, fair enough! But are the fathers admonished to teach their sons that women are not sex objects but emotional beings that should be treasured. 4. If the children goes astray they suddenly become their mothers children but the last time I checked she did not impregnate herself. The nation is in dire need of virtuous women and godly men whose role in the family is much more than keeping the family abreast financially. Hence both sexes should be groomed to be their best.

Good morning Jesus for the gift of a new day. O Lord wouldest thou bless me with the three gifts I desire most and I will forever praise You. Thou knoweth but for the sake of those who are praying for me, I publish them: 1) Which is the greatest of all; that I will know You and follow thy steps until You will say unto me "Chibuzo is my beloveth son in whom I am well pleased" while men will profess "he is indeed a true Christian". 2) To make abundant wealth; now if you're one of those who think it is impossible to make true riches as a Christian in Nigeria. My word to you this day is perish that thought and wait patiently because Jesus will prove that with me, soonest. 3) To have a virtuous lady by my side, O yes! I know that I have found her. Is it carnality to profess affection for a maiden in the same Church? That I did and she says "No" or "Not yet" perhaps, I don't understand the ways of ladies. Justice for one, should be justice for all. If ALL we have to offer to people as Christians are well articulated words that induce proselytism then something is fundamentally wrong with our faith. Rather, we should be offering a resurrected Christ, a hope, a healing God, power over evil spirits, repentance from sin, a new beginning, a transformed life, a cleansed conscience, true peace. We ought to show that true love and practical Christianity is not a myth but a reality; addicts delivered from their cravings, philanderer with new sexual orientations, alcoholics now sober, criminals reformed, demoniacs set free, godly financial prosperity achieved, curses broken, tempers transformed, exceptional scientific innovations discovered. I look forward to the day when God in His infinite mercies will empower us to show forth our love for Jesus not just in words but in absolute obedience to His commands and exercising our dominion over His creations. Lead us not into temptation O, Lord!

The goal of every Church is building individuals into Christ-likeness. Sometimes, in the process of doing that, we may need to build an organization, a website, a sanctuary for worship. But these things are not "the result", they are simply " things" that helps us get the result. The result is sanctified saints whose lives are built upon Christ. Christians who you can differentiate in government offices and market place from the rest not by their names but by their words, actions and inactions. Unfortunately, building the latest edifice for worship is now the "suppossed result" for "some" Christians. Failure! Failure!! Failure!!! that is what they are. Success is in the righteousness, holiness, purity and prosperity of the saints not in the structures. Bless me, O Lord, that the world will know that there is riches in righteousness!!!

Whenever I hear words like the God of this Church, the God of that Church and most times in a divisive sense, I begin to wonder if this Bible verse 1Corinthians3:21-23 mean anything to us. It says "Therefore let no one glory in men. For all things are yours, whether it is Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours and you are Christ's, and Christ is God's. I belong to a Church, we all should. There is no room for a lone ranger but the question is; why should I limit myself to the knowledge of one Bible teacher? Why should I fight over who preaches better between Pastor X or Bishop Y when they are all there to build me up in Christ? All I need do is to learn from both of them and be more like Jesus!

The ability to receive truth directly from God is right at the heart of the New Covenant and the experience of Pentecost Acts 2:16-18 says "But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel: "And it shall be in the last days, says God, I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh. And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams. And in those days I will pour out My Spirit upon My slaves and My slave women, and they shall prophesy. Heb 10:16 says "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord; I will put My Laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them," Luke 12:12 says "For the Holy Spirit shall teach you in the same hour what you ought to say. 1 John 2:27 says "But the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as His anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true and no lie, and as He has taught you, abide in Him. The above verses shows that all believers, men-servants, maid-servants indeed every Christian could receive knowledge from God deep down into their innermost beings through the Holy Spirit yet it baffles me why false pastors and prophets are having a field day deceiving people.

Verse of the Day 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody. Commentary What's your ambition? I don't know about you, but I'm not so sure I could say my ambition is to "live a quiet life ...." But when I hear the reason for that directive, I understand. So many people I meet are frazzled, run down, and exhausted with all their "busy-ness." So let's make a commitment to cycle down a little, trust God more and more each day, and seek to live a life that wins the respect of those around us!

No-one is born with a monopoly on success or a right to reach the top. God decides, God chooses and it is not anything in us that cause this choice.
He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.
God did not give us the gospel we wanted, rather He gave us the gospel we needed. The cross stumbles those expecting a triumphant messiah, and the cross is un-intellectual, absurd, folly, to the Greek lover of sophistry. But to those 'being saved " it is a marvel - the very power and wisdom of God!

Men by their own wisdom and philosophies can arrive at some truth, but not at all truth, and not at the truth that gives eternal life. Archimedes, Galileo, Newton, Einstein, and Planck all arrived at truths about nature - but studying their theories will not get you eternal life. Knowing Pythagoras's Theorem may help you with trigonometry as you achieve your dream of becoming a successful mathematics teacher but it will not conquer your sin, they can only be conquered by Jesus.

Worldly wisdom in this life can make you a king and a millionaire in this world and a prisoner in eternity. But God's wisdom can make you a king and a millionaire in this world and a prince or a princess in the next with an eternal inheritance of glory. Strangely, it seems that most Christians settle for neither form of wisdom! They don't make much money and they don't get particularly holy. Instead they sit on the fence. They are lukewarm and get nothing because God spits them out and the devil hates their flexibility and lack of principles.

To understand the wisdom of God, we have to think pragmatically and long-term. Now the true long-term is eternity, and if we are to "have value" in the eternal realm we must be holy. In this sense the wisest thing we can do is to become like Jesus in all we do, for that will bring the greatest reward for the greatest length of time.

The more you study the Bible the more you realize that you know little of what you ought to know about Jesus.
Outward conformity to God's law cannot substitute for inner conformity. But it's a lot better than no conformity at all! In fact outward conformity rightly practiced with the right mindset helps in making one holy and righteous.
