I rarely watch TV these days, not because I hate it but because most of the movies and programs that is aired fights with my value system as a Christian. Call me boring or old fashioned but I sure know how to enjoy myself in a way that pleases God. Now, when you watch things that negates God's standard and laugh about the very thing that Jesus hates in the name of being civilized. Wear clothes that are sensual, spit out filthy words in the name of gisting, enjoy music that promotes list; yet you call yourself a born again. I put it to you that something is fundamentally wrong with you, see you on the highway to your grave. Repent! I say again repent!!

If you can do it in public why do it in secret? Who are you living your life for? Who are you afraid of? Come on! Let's be true Christians no matter where we are.
Beware of dangerous distractions that take you and your family away at critical times when you ought to bond together in love, prayer, studying God's word and ofcourse pleasures.
Fight for your family. Don't be afraid to speak up in love against a member towing the devil's path. Protect your family in prayers and deeds because the devil is out to destroy the church but he can't prevail without destroying our families.

That prompted you to commit blunders, you said things that you should never had said, did things that negates your principles and you think all is lost. No! It's not. Jesus is a God of second chance, go to Him in prayer and He will forgive you, heal your wounds and restore your dignity.

Love and Money, very interesting. Different strokes for different folks. Some young men will accuse the ladies of materialism and such ladies will counter it by saying he is too stingy. But from my own perspective I think both should be seen as partners in progress with Jesus as the foundation except you still mistake lust for love. I have Jesus and He owns me, in fact if rapture were to happen now, I will say goodbye. I am not boasting it's a humble assertion. But then I really need to enjoy those partners in progress soonest; "Love and Money". Yes! The love of a Damsel and great riches, before you accuse me of carnality think twice cos the above blessings and Jesus brings forth a tripod stand that can never be broken. Whenever I see a toddler in his or her Father's arm with the child's head resting on the Dad's strong, protective chest. I can't help but glance at the face of the child and all I can see is one assured of total security. The same way I feel after praying regardless of the facts at hand.

I recall with nostalgia when I saw my NYSC posting letter with Kebbi state boldly written. I said to myself this one na die but unknown to me God has a purpose that is more better than the need for cash. This is the birthday, I celebrate. The type I will in a big way soonest. In few hours from now I will be 8years old in my walk with the Holy Spirit. Unfortunately, I am still stubborn yet to fully surrender, disappointed that He is yet to answer me financially nor direct my steps maritally. Draw me nearer to You, O Lord that I will live out the true meaning of my name "Chibuzo". The more 21days from 3pm will be spent more at Your alter, O Lord! Happy, Happy birthday to me as I celebrate 8years of my spiritual rebirth. Thank You, Jesus!

When the going gets tougher than you ever envisaged be humble enough to seek the counsel of both man and God.
Apology does not mean weakness. It is rather great strength in disguise to say "I am sorry" as much as possible whenever you offend someone.

Whenever I see hardworking Masons working their ass out to earn a living all I see is the beauty of concrete and iron working harmoniously to compensate each others weakness and get the job done. My knowledge of science helps me to understand that concrete is strong on compression but weak in tension hence it does not bend but breaks but iron is the opposite. Combine both in the right proportion and you get something strong enough to withstand unimaginable force. The same way we ought to compliment each other in the society.

It is hard to dispute the fact that he who helps more people is doing more good than he who helps only a few. Dietrich Bonhoeffer said more than 50 years ago that grace had become cheapened. I wonder what he would say today? I believe in the message of grace without it, I am nothing but I'm horrified how some Christians can claim to have received it and yet bear no resemblance in character to the person of Jesus who gave it. True grace changes us. It will make us gracious and more like the Grace-giver himself. If not, what we call grace is impotent, powerless, and false. Saint Paul called this a form of Christianity that denied God's true power in us -2 Timothy 3:5. Let's return total obedience to Jesus back to the pantheon of virtues we hold dear, then we can win souls without saying much.

God's holiness is unapproachable except through the gift of his grace. When we disregard God's holiness, we profane what is precious and sacred. God will be known and shown as holy; if not by his people, then by his action. Let's take our worship of God seriously, honoring him with reverence. (Hebrews 12:28-29). But, let's not confine worship to only what we do in church. Let's realize that all of our life is worship (Romans 12:1-2) and live out our lives with a commitment to be holy in all we do (1 Peter 1:15-16) — in both the worship with our lips and the worship with our lives.

When you fail to prepare you indefinitely is preparing to fail. I strongly believe that if 70% of the Christian families we have in this nation are morally upright, parents training their kids in a godly way, Nigeria will be a better place. This informed my desire to attend as much relationship and marriage seminars as possible, read books and online articles on them and also listen to sermons on the same issue. But, then I recall with nostalgia that 90% of them seems to unanimously agree on the fallacy that the responsibility of making a good home lies more on the female folk. A lie which is gradually bought as the truth due to the consistency in which we are bombarded by it. Let it be known that I am no feminist who preaches equal right in marriage, that can never be true, women are help meet whose ordained duty is joyfully support her husband in the direction he is going. Good morning Jesus for the gift of a new day. O Lord wouldest thou bless me with the three gifts I desire most and I will forever praise You. Thou knoweth but for the sake of those who are praying for me, I publish them: 1) Which is the greatest of all; that I will know You and follow thy steps until You will say unto me "Chibuzo is my beloveth son in whom I am well pleased" while men will profess "he is indeed a true Christian". 2) To make abundant wealth; now if you're one of those who think it is impossible to make true riches as a Christian in Nigeria. My word to you this day is perish that thought and wait patiently because Jesus will prove that with me, soonest. 3) To have a virtuous lady by my side, O yes! I know that I have found her. Is it carnality to profess affection for a maiden in the same Church? That I did and she says "No" or "Not yet" perhaps, I don't understand the ways of ladies. If ALL we have to offer to people as Christians are well articulated words that induce proselytism then something is fundamentally wrong with our faith. Rather, we should be offering a resurrected Christ, a hope, a healing God, power over evil spirits, repentance from sin, a new beginning, a transformed life, a cleansed conscience, true peace. We ought to show that true love and practical Christianity is not a myth but a reality; addicts delivered from their cravings, philanderer with new sexual orientations, alcoholics now sober, criminals reformed, demoniacs set free, godly financial prosperity achieved, curses broken, tempers transformed, exceptional scientific innovations discovered. I look forward to the day when God in His infinite mercies will empower us to show forth our love for Jesus not just in words but in absolute obedience to His commands and exercising our dominion over His creations. Lead us not into temptation O, Lord!

The goal of every Church is building individuals into Christ-likeness. Sometimes, in the process of doing that, we may need to build an organization, a website, a sanctuary for worship. But these things are not "the result", they are simply " things" that helps us get the result. The result is sanctified saints whose lives are built upon Christ. Christians who you can differentiate in government offices and market place from the rest not by their names but by their words, actions and inactions. Unfortunately, building the latest edifice for worship is now the "suppossed result" for "some" Christians. Failure! Failure!! Failure!!! that is what they are. Success is in the righteousness, holiness, purity and prosperity of the saints not in the structures. Bless me, O Lord, that the world will know that there is riches in righteousness!!!

Whenever I hear words like the God of this Church, the God of that Church and most times in a divisive sense, I begin to wonder if this Bible verse 1Corinthians3:21-23 mean anything to us. It says "Therefore let no one glory in men. For all things are yours, whether it is Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours and you are Christ's, and Christ is God's. I belong to a Church, we all should. There is no room for a lone ranger but the question is; why should I limit myself to the knowledge of one Bible teacher? Why should I fight over who preaches better between Pastor X or Bishop Y when they are all there to build me up in Christ? All I need do is to learn from both of them and be more like Jesus!

The ability to receive truth directly from God is right at the heart of the New Covenant and the experience of Pentecost Acts 2:16-18 says "But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel: "And it shall be in the last days, says God, I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh. And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams. And in those days I will pour out My Spirit upon My slaves and My slave women, and they shall prophesy. Heb 10:16 says "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord; I will put My Laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them," Luke 12:12 says "For the Holy Spirit shall teach you in the same hour what you ought to say. 1 John 2:27 says "But the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as His anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true and no lie, and as He has taught you, abide in Him. The above verses shows that all believers, men-servants, maid-servants indeed every Christian could receive knowledge from God deep down into their innermost beings through the Holy Spirit yet it baffles me why false pastors and prophets are having a field day deceiving people.

Heb 10:16 says "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord; I will put My Laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them," Luke 12:12 says "For the Holy Spirit shall teach you in the same hour what you ought to say. 1 John 2:27 says "But the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as His anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true and no lie, and as He has taught you, abide in Him. The above verses shows that all believers, men-servants, maid-servants indeed every Christian could receive knowledge from God deep down into their innermost beings through the Holy Spirit yet it baffles me why false pastors and prophets are having a field day deceiving people.

So many people I meet are frazzled, run down, and exhausted with all their "busy-ness." Archimedes, Galileo, Newton, Einstein, and Planck all arrived at truths about nature - but studying their theories will not get you eternal life. Knowing Pythagoras's Theorem may help you with trigonometry as you achieve your dream of becoming a successful mathematics teacher but it will not conquer your sin, they can only be conquered by Jesus.

Worldly wisdom in this life can make you a king and a millionaire in this world and a prisoner in eternity. But God's wisdom can make you a king and a millionaire in this world and a prince or a princess in the next with an eternal inheritance of glory. Strangely, it seems that most Christians settle for neither form of wisdom! They don't make much money and they don't get particularly holy. Instead they sit on the fence. They are lukewarm and get nothing because God spits them out and the devil hates their flexibility and lack of principles.

To understand the wisdom of God, we have to think pragmatically and long-term. Now the true long-term is eternity, and if we are to "have value" in the eternal realm we must be holy. In this sense the wisest thing we can do is to become like Jesus in all we do, for that will bring the greatest reward for the greatest length of time.

Relying on God means; Praying for healing and seeing the doctor, praying for success in your exams and studying your books, praying for financial prosperity and working hard in your business, praying for a secure country and policing your borders. Christianity is not a call to laziness. Pray and fast as much as you can yet do your part because God in His infinite wisdom will not do for man what he can do for himself.

When rumors, insults, mocking and scoffing come your way and you get all steamed up. Relax, suppress the feeling to retaliate, rather take it to God, and let your "steam" go upward Him.
God's work is a good work and deserves our best. We should set to it heartily and do it with all our might. Whether its building a wall, painting a car or leading a bible study we should do the best that we can. We should also seek to improve continually. There is no place for sloppy, half-hearted work in the Kingdom of God.

There is no doubt that people achieve financial prosperity via dubious means. There is no doubt that some clergy increases their membership strength via diabolic means. There is no doubt that some students attain academic excellence via examination malpractice. Yet to have a sweeping generalization of any wealthy person, growing church and academically sound personality you see as being dishonest is not of God. It is the spirit of envy at it's peak, it is denying the power of God in blessing His children abudantely, it is indirectly condemning yourself to mediocrity cos God splashes His grace freely on those who rejoice with others. Speak up and condemn the dishonest only when you're sure!

Never you come to Jesus with a deserving attitude like the Pharisee, "Lord, I pay my tithe, fast thrice a week, is a virgin, honest, and other noble virtues" because we all have a lopsided view of our internal balance sheet of righteousness. Good at adding up our good deeds while refusing to subtract our bad deeds. Rather we should come to God with an attitude of humility cos in the first place all our good deeds is what we are called to do.

God's unpredictable grace in lifting His children who seems unqualified in the sight of men is one aspect of His way that rocks the spiritual world to its foundation. How do you feel when a "let my people go" graduate secures a blue chip appointment while you the best graduating student is still submitting application? How do you feel when a not so beautiful lady gets married to a handsome and rich young man while you "beautifully and wonderfully made in the sight of God and men" is an old spinster? The truth remains in a world of absolute justice from God, no man will live. Nevertheless, I am not comfortable with the one sided message prevalent among Nigeria Christians which sees religious activities as the only source of greatness. I fast, I pray, I attend Christian programs as much as I can yet I am not oblivious of the fact that God will not do for men what men should do for themselves. Grace is not a call to laziness, rather it empowers you to be more productive while working hard.

Whenever I read in the news that Nigeria exports several barrels of crude oil. I weep for this nation at the enormous job opportunities and wealth we are losing. Refining is key!
The tragedy of Nigeria is that the followers prefer quick peanuts rather than patiently waiting for the whole lump that comes after due process.
Are there thieves roaming the streets within 7am to 8am every morning in Enugu cos am trying to understand why some police officers will be causing traffic in the name of #50 collection of offering. This nonsense rarely happen in North.

Church attendance is not the same as true repentance. Getting the approval of men through over zealous participation in Church activities and doing charitable works in the community does not translate to getting the approval of God in heaven if you still live in sin continually.

Am confused! Is there an unwritten law that says commercial drivers are to pay "#50 road use fee" to Police officers in Enugu, cos this nonsense don't happen up North.
Greatness the Jesus' way doesn't come by lording it over others nor cheating. It comes by imbibing a lifestyle of child-like humility and honesty.
It is not a crime if a Christian desires to be wealthy and influential on earth. The crime is when he tries to do it in an ungodly way.
