I recall vividly when I attended the P.T.A meeting of my younger sister’s school. I was disappointed at the criteria used to share students to their respective classes. The best automatically becomes science students, the average students go to social sciences and the “supposed dull” students go to art class without any consideration of what the student desires nor their innate abilities. When the time came for input from parents, I stood up and objected vehemently their distorted view of classification which in every way destroys our education system. What is the guidance and counselor unit doing in our schools? I have seen cases of exceptional brilliant student in science class who despise science hence have no business there yet are there because the society forced them to be. This is Very bad and I pray it stops. Unfortunately the same thing is gradually creeping into our Christian faith where. We are all gifted in diverse ways and will be judged by God differently based on His calling upon our life. If you are called as a Pastor, fine and good. If you are called as a Police stick to it. Don’t judge yourself based on the scale of others achievement and relationship with God, rather judge yourself based on the purpose God made you to fulfill.
