Most would unlikely be late for an appointment with someone whom they want to honor (e.g the President, or a boss at work), but are always late to keep an appointment with God whom they claim to honour. Be early to Church tomorrow, it is an affront on the personality of Jesus to be late not only to Church but in all life endeavors.

Once upon a time I heard a testimony of a Pastor who God showed a revelation about a mass choir singing praises to God, alas! The pastor was hearing the voice of a lone chorister among the multitudes. Astonished, the Pastor asked, Lord! They are multitudes of choristers why then do I hear a voice? An Angel of the Lord replied; son the voice you hear is the voice of the only one who is worthy to sing praises to the Lord, while that of the rest are an abomination unto His Majesty, the High and the Holy One seated on the throne. The Pastor argued Lord, but I know that sister, that brother, I mean he is a jolly good fellow righteous and blameless as one can be? The Angel smiled and said son, I tell you most solemnly there is absolutely nothing anyone does that is hidden from God. The voices of the brother and sister whom you recognized oozes out nothing but hypocrisy. Son, the Angel continued nothing unholy gets here. Every sin must be confessed, repented of and forgiven before such a one is found worthy. At this point, I said to myself, O Lord let not my work for You be counted as filth. Forgive me cos am a sinner who falls daily but need Your grace to stand firm.

Persecution should not be sought out for that is the attitude of the paranoid. Neither is it to be dodged at any cost - for in that lies the way of defeat. It is to be endured in a Christ like manner when it comes, with great glory going to God.

Some degree of persecution is the normal way of life for the average Christian today. Indeed this is the biblical expectation. 2 Timothy 3:12 According to David Barrett‘s "World Christian Encyclopedia," around 150,000 to 300,000 Christians die for their faith each year this has been evident in Nigeria when Christianity first came, we hear stories of how our forefathers mostly idle worshipers killed them and now it is resurfacing at a very fast rate with the islamic world and occult group. Be steadfast in prayer for the weapon of our warfare is not carnal.

I pledge to Nigeria my country, i don't think I can confidently say that and mean it these days cos 90% of the problems we are suffering from is self inflicted. God is good, He does great and marvelous things but then some of things we celebrate as miracles in Nigeria like; getting a good job, becoming a successful entrepreneur, journey mercies while traveling along Enugu - Onitsha express way are things that will come freely in a nation where things are working properly. Righteousness indeed exalts a nation, while sin is a reproach to any nation; blessed is a nation whose king is wise and just. The present economic hardship is a clarion call for repentance to me as an individual cos am no saint and every Nigerian. It is true the leaders have a greater role to play yet it is a collective effort, in your own little way think of what you can do to better the world I did not say Nigeria because I hope Biafra materialize someday albeit in a peaceful way, through constructive debate of ideas.

Trouble is not necessarily a sign of being out of God's will. The Bible declares that "many are the afflictions of the righteous" (Psalms 34:19). When you suffer innocently and not because of your own sin, you should maintain a proper attitude towards suffering. The real test of your spirituality is how you respond in the day of distress: If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small. (Proverbs 24:10)

It is a trial of faith when you pray as Jesus did, for God to let the cup of bitterness pass, and yet it does not pass. Instead, you are forced to drink deeply of its suffering. But faith knows that our prayers must not be answered the way we want.

Sex is Sweet; Let’s talk about it! The above headline was the theme of a church programme I saw sometime ago. Immediately, I shouted; tufiakwa! Onweghi ihe mmadu a ma fu, this is an insult to my faith, how naive I was. The fact that satan has perverted that which is good that God created, does not in anyway nullify its beauty. It is not enough to tell someone not to sin against God by indulging in harmful sexual practices, prayerfully showing them a viable alternative is the solution. The Bible says how can they know if there is no preacher, how can there be a preacher if they are not sent - Romans10:14-15. The conspiracy of silence among Christians pertaining this gift of nature called sex and the one sided message of thou shall rot in hell if you say anything concerning it only breeds hypocritical Christians among the youths. It is a known fact that sexual immorality is the devils tool to destroy Christians in this end time yet little is done to salvage the situation. A lot of youths are suffering silently from addictions to pornography, masturbation, fornication, lesbianism, homosexuality, e.t.c. Many have committed series of abortions which they regret yet they cannot seek help for fear of being ridiculed among Christians as the worst of all sinner ever born, to feel among they go on pretending to be righteous as long as they are not pregnant or accused of being responsible for any pregnancy all will be well in the sight of men. Sex is not the problem, lust is! The younger generation cannot know the truth if it is hidden from them, parents have to teach their kids its positives, the Church need to do the same taking into consideration their age because the good you did not teach someone about anything in a godly way, the society will inevitably teach the same thing in a worldly way.

But as for me, my feet almost slipped when I saw..... The prosperity of the wicked - Psalm73 If i should say that I have never asked the question Asaph asked in Psalm73, I would be a liar and a hypocrite. This may not go down well with certain ‘it is demonic to have negative thoughts nor question God Christian denominations - all should be positives’. But for me my idea of Christianity is to be realistic this does not rule out my faith in God who makes to this that be not to manifest - Hebrews11:3. I recall with nostalgia the day I rejected a job offer because one of the condition of service is against my faith as a Christian. Unknown to me, I had only #20 left in my pocket and had to trek a long distance asking myself so many questions along the way, some of which are: is there any point in serving God? Is there any difference between those who seek their own comfort and those who seek the Lord? Of what use is righteousness and holiness under this hot sun? What use is a BSc certificate with an almost torn #20 note? Do not the righteous and the wicked meet the same frustrations and calamities - just that the wicked have grabbed more wealth for themselves along the way and enjoy a better life? Does God still answer prayers? The question of reward can be a very real question for many Christians, which cannot be left in doubt or else it corrodes the soul of the believer and leave the person angry at a loving God. God is good and rewards those who diligently seek Him -Hebrews11:6. Both here and in eternity - Matthew 19:29. This is the truth we must believe knowing fully well that His ways are not our ways - Isaiah55:8 and that to Him a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years like a day - 2Peter3:8. I will not be negligent to attest to the fact that not all God’s faithful servants are rewarded fully in this life. Many missionaries do stay poor all their lives. Christianity is not a path to riches yet it is not a part to poverty. But it is a path to a meaningful and satisfying life which can be enjoyed when we settle it in our heart that money alone is not the blessing that God gives to His children; good health is one of them, academic excellence not tainted with exam malpractice is another, peace, love, godly family, sexual purity, obedient children, holiness, righteousness, wisdom, e.t.c are all part of it - yet no man can be given all at the same time cos we are not created to be self sufficient but to be dependent on a self sufficient God. Now, how did I overcome that period of murmuring the answer is simple but sometimes hard to practice ‘Count your blessings’. The moment I forced myself to do that, joy gradually prevailed over sorrow, my heart softened, my tear-filled eyes glowed and I began praising the Lord for finding me worthy to say yes to Him and no to sin with all its material benefit, knowing fully well that soonest for the delay the Lord will restore double unto me - Zechariah9:12 cos eyes have not seen, ears have not heard, neither has it come into the heart of men the thing which God have prepared for those who diligently seek Him.
But as for me, my feet almost slipped when I saw..... The prosperity of the wicked - Psalm73 If i should say that I have never asked the question Asaph asked in Psalm73, I would be a liar and a hypocrite.

Giving further details on the violence, Major Ugwu said, “At about 6pm on Sunday, 29 May 2016, one Mr. Methodus Chimaije Emmanuel, a 24 year old trader based in Pandogari, Rafi LGA of Niger State was attacked and killed by a mob in the town on allegation of posting a blasphemous statement about Prophet Muhammad on the social media. Is this enough for bloodshed? Islam is a religion of peace they say, but their actions prove otherwise.
